January

January was filled with work, work, work but we managed to pull off a trip to S. California at the end of the month. We hadn’t seen several family members in a year and there was a memorial service for David’s biological father at the end of January. We started our trip with a quick stop in Austin to see Nick, Margaret and Lydia. We then flew to San Diego and spent a few days with Christine’s dad and stepmom, Dick and Debbie. We enjoyed getting to see them and other extended family. We then drove to LA for the service, and on to Sun City to visit David’s mom, Sharon, and his Aunt Patty, Uncle Rick and the rest of the fam. It was a packed trip with lots of family time and we enjoyed it so much. I think Covid has made us all appreciate more the time we get to spend with loved ones. We were extremely careful during our travels and managed to stay Covid free. Yay!

Noah turned 21 on Jan. 28th! Still freaks me out saying it. My baby is 21! The 28th was also Nick and Margaret’s anniversary. They celebrated 4 years. Can’t believe it’s already February. Tomorrow is the Superbowl and we plan to hang out with Noah, Maggie, Amylyn, Adrian and Rowan. We will also celebrate Noah and Maggie’s birthdays since we were gone when they happened. Hoping for some snow but it’s doubtful.

Bring on Chapter 2021!

Hello friends and family. We survived 2020 and are looking forward to writing our next chapter as a married couple, parents, and now grandparents!

We have been off social media for a while and thought we would try this as an alternate medium to keep in touch with family and friends. We hope that you might check in periodically with us to see what we are up to AND to let us know what you are up to.

David is still working as the Chief Financial and Investment Officer for National Christian Foundation. Christine is still working as the VP of Operations for Glenridge Development. We will be celebrating 33 years of marriage in July.

Here is a quick summary of what is going on with our kids:

Nick and Margaret are celebrating their 4 year anniversary this month and they welcomed their sweet baby girl, Lydia, last May. They recently moved to Austin, TX and are enjoying setting up their new home.

Amylyn and Adrian celebrated their 4 year anniversary in September 2020 and they welcomed their precious baby boy, Rowan, last March. We were so surprised when Rowan arrived on David and Nick’s birthday. The three of them will always share that bond but in reality Rowan now owns that day!

Noah is a Junior at Georgia Tech and majoring in Architecture. His girlfriend Maggie is an Industrial Design major at GT so they get to hang out and do school together. Covid has made the college experience not quite what it was or what it is intended to be but they are making the best of it.

We hope to get on here periodically to post updates and pictures. This website format is very new to us so please bear with us as we figure it out.
